It’s hot right now, the trick is to be in the shade where you can and get your outside things done when there’s low humidity and at the coolest parts of the day. Eventually you’ll acclimatize if you spend time outside and don’t crank your AC too hard. At least we found that helps.
Thankfully we have AC practically everywhere unlike the UK which seems to have a meltdown every time it’s over 75f, which is starting to happen more and more, even oop North where I’m from.
I wish you the best of luck. It’s a funny thing moving away from our normal.
We’ve hit the stage where we have things we favor in each country, and we’re lucky that we get to visit the UK at least once a year.

I see reference to "the triangle" in your post and in your profile. Just curious if that is a local thing and what it means?

"The Triangle", or sometimes "the Research Triangle", is the metro area in NC primarily containing the three cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Cary. All three, as well as several sizeable towns - Apex, Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest. All fit within a radius of only about 20 miles, and they form an almost continuous urban-suburban area with few undeveloped areas separating them.

"The Triangle" is not to be confused with "the Triad", or "the Piedmont Triad", which comprises the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, which also fit within a 20 miles radius circle, but aren't quite as big, so they aren't quite as densely packed together.
