Saw both videos. Takes a lot to get to me but the whole circumstances of the two victims in this one really did a number on me.
It was the camera guys last day as he was moving with his fiancee who was also at the station and in the station control room when it happened. I mean...there's nothing you can think but awful.

Society here is beyond broken, as are their idiot gun laws.

California has some pretty strict laws on guns, not too different then what Canada has in some respects. I do agree there are issues in society that need to be addressed and fixed and that may bring violence down, but that will take a few generations to fix if the process is ever started.
The other states need to start following the lead of the stricter states, or the feds need to step in, otherwise places like AZ and Texas won't change and unless all 50 states have the same laws when it comes to guns, really nothing is going change. Will also take who knows how many years to actually get guns out of circulation to a point use of them in crimes goes down, if tougher laws are ever brought in nationwide and uniform across the country, it won't happen overnight, the criminals won't be turning in their guns.
It's clear for whatever reason US society is more violent then their northern neighbors, I however do not know why and would need to let the experts on society and human behavior try and figure that one out.

Nothing will change, simply because the American public on the whole do not appear to regard shootings as a problem but as more of a price that they're prepared to accept for the freedom to be able to own firearms. Collateral damage if you like. For most of them, it's a trade off they're comfortable with.

The shooter had apparently been contacting ABC News for the past couple of weeks saying he wanted to pitch them a story and wanted to send a fax, but never told ABC News what the story was or indicated what he had planned.
Apparently the church shooting in June was his tipping point according to his 23 page manifesto he faxed after the shooting.
Apparently Jehovah spoke to him telling him to act. He placed a deposit for a gun on June 19th according to his letter.

Of course states like Arizona, where is illegal for any governmental body to even keep a registry of firearms, are going to be a problem.
