Medical update
#1
My journey through the I130 process continues. Medical just done. Outcome of this seems to be if you have something marginal (like blood pressure) then get it fixed ahead of time.
Mine was a bit over and they have told me they will hold the medical until this is fixed. Not a big show stopper as it had been recently flagged for monitoring by my GP and we will now start some medication to bring it to the required level.
A letter from the GP is then sufficient to confirm all is in order. Still waiting on interview date so time available to get it fixed.
Apart from that all good. Apart from the fact the Knightbridge doctors are using old mailing so the fee was £200 not the £170 mentioned in the pack.
As a post script I am a little unsettled by recent threads on US healthcare. Still trying to get my head around it. Wife is a teacher in California so I understand I come under family cover with her until I get a job that might have my own cover. Guess will have to get a little more clued up on any copay things or exclusions.

It ain't the best, but not the worse for those with medical coverage. As the wife of a husband who also has our medical through school employment, will tell you it is one of the best coverages available. You should not have any exclusions and co-pays are usually $15 or $20 a visit. Also your wife will be able to join the flex spending plan where tax free money is taken from her paycheck and used for reimbursement to her for those out of pocket charges for medical, dental and drug charges.
