Default Lurpak! and sticky toffee pudding

I finally found Lurpak in Austin, at Oakville Grocery.... along with this company:

http://stickytoffeepuddingcompany.com/

I should have found this place before I started exercising and eating right.... I could seriously eat my way through the entire store.

My DH is on his way to Austin as we speak. If I wanted to sabotage my diet I would get him to shop me up a storm.

He'll make great time here with that tail wind behind him. Seriously though, that place has sooo much good stuff, including healthy options.

Now that it's cooler I want to make a treacle tart, after reading so often about them in the Harry Potter books.

OK so what do you use for treacle? I've looked for golden syrup here and can't find it... any ideas what to substitute?

I've been to world market (proper Cadburies and hobnobs), Safeway (where I found salad cream, heinz beans and Jammy dodgers) and a taste of Britian, my local brit shop (real bacon with the big bit on) even Nugget Markets - where i found some decent stilton that I didn't have to sell a kidney for. No joy.
