Yet another reason to stay out of a home improvement store. I shall forward the link to Mrs Titchski this morning! I'm sure snakes probably hide out in the kitchen cabinet section too. I'm sure Mrs T will buy that excuse :P
Thanks Ray!

Officials said the customer was shopping for plants at a Lowe's Home Improvement store Tuesday, when she noticed a stinging feeling in her leg. Medics discovered she had been bitten twice on the right shin.
Employees killed the one-foot-long dusky pygmy rattlesnake with a yard tool. The snake is one of six poisonous varieties native to Florida.

Well if they're taking bites out of customers legs I suggest that you wear your thigh high waders next time you go shopping there!

Re: LOWES and SNAKES
We had one here in Austin. It was a Home Depot I think, but probably the same type of rattler. it was curled up at the base of a plant, and the customer reached in to get the plant.
I've only seen one confirmed rattlesnake in the wild. The guy with me must have jumped 10ft

The Lowes in State College, PA has parrots and other birds flying around up in the rafters. Took me ages to figure out where that squawking noise was coming from...
