Take yourself out to Denny's, and get some... now
Your comment in this thread has tipped the balance though, and it's the deciding factor in what I'm going to have when I go out to lunch in 15 minutes. Yeah, you guessed it, I'm off to Denny's for FnC.

Have to agree with you, pre-seasoned "fries" aren't to my taste either.

Been in Bob's, but was so long ago I don't even remember what I ate. Most of the chains are all the same anyway.., all that changes is the sign and decor.
Village Inn FnC wasn't bad the last time I had it.
Ok, it's now lunch time

Fudruckers pre season their fries - they always give me a funny look when I ask for ,"fries without all the crap on it please!"

Good idea, but I'll have to import some cod from St. Louis, all they have where I live is catfish. I've always thought a float in party/fish fry/crawfish boil/pig roast on an island in the Mississippi would be a blast. Live Cajun/Zydeco band, plenty of drinks. It'd be a backwoods beach party...

That does sound like an absolute blast. The economy in your little town will boom with all us staying there, not to mention your local rag will actually have something to write about....can you imagine how they would butcher it all with us hailing from all over the country.....hehehe

Yes, it's landlocked, but they fly fish in fresh or truck it in frozen from the coast(s). You pay a premium for the fresh stuff. If we were talking catfish, well, we could get that so fresh it wouldn't know it was out of the water yet...
