Half an hour sounds ludicrous when they have to get there, queue up, get served, and find a table, eat the food, clear up and get to the next class.

And their parents couldn't send them with a nice healthy pack lunch that they'd know they'd eat and have time for.
I have a friend at home who is a head cook and bottle washer for a promary school, she has said that packed lunches have grown again now because the kids don't like the recipes she has to cook from the new Jamie Oliver scheme, shame really, as although I believe they should be offered a good selection of healthy food, a little bit of fish fingers and chips never hurt anyone, at least it's all baked now, not fried like when I was growing up...and we HAD to eat PEAS PUDDING :scared: Every Thursday, that was on the menu and you had to try it.
