'Little Britain' recording in USA

Re: 'Little Britain' recording in USA
Keeping Up Appearances was apparently a cult hit when it was aired on BBC America. It's easy to see why though, this stuffy well to do English Queen-type character evetually being subjected to various humiliations and social disasters would definitely be something funny to other cultures and countries. Can't remember if it was a big hit back home though.
Partridge doesn't make me laugh much, but I love Gervais Extras and Office.

My husband loves The Catherine Tate Show. I wish that was here. I miss that and Little Britain. I used to love The Fast Show. I went on You Tube a while back and found some clips of old episodes. I was laughing so hard tears were rolling down my face, my husband just blankly stared, lol! There is a difference in humour here to in the UK. It's weird, because some things he finds funny I don't.
But when my brother - big Monty Python and Young Ones fan - came back from 5 years in Hungary, he saw a random episode for the first time ever and was stony faced all the way through. Just didn't 'get it' because he hadn't seen it before.
"I'll get me coat."
"I was verry, verry drunk..."
"You ain't seen me, right?"

Man I love the Fast Show. And Harry Enfield. It drives me mental when nobody gets the 'I'm 'avin a faaaaaag' comment.

Little Britain is ok but the comedy that really makes me laugh is My Family.. Keeping up appearances isn't bad either..

Keeping Up Appearances was funny in the beginning, but then I married an Onslo, and his family make me feel like Hyacinth!

The Fast Show was genius if you'd seen previous episodes. It was the same punchline with minor variations over and over and I laughed so hard I thought I'd die.

BBCAmerica showed the Fast Show here a few years back but it went under the name Brilliant. So the way they randomly repeat shows over and over it might surface again sometime

My other half liked Only Fools & Horses from the first time I showed it too her. Although I did start her off with a couple of good ones. Her favourite Britcom though, is probably The Royal Family.

The Royle Family is cool! I don't think many Americans would get that humour, seems like you have a wife with a good sense of humour!

Most of my gay friends here are very familiar with Daffyd and Derek so I imagine a US version would go down a treat (pardon!)
