Any time mine has been triggered, there has been at least 1" of snow on the ground, often more. I went all the way from April until late December before ABS kicked in.

Do you slow down using the gears? I can do that to an extent in mine because it has an M setting, but it's not always convenient in the snow and I'd never switch from D to M during the summer or fall. It's not real manual so it's no fun.

I shat myself the first time I triggered the ABS years back, sounded like a jack hammer going off. It still amazes me that it doesn't seem to be pretty much standard on cars out here, or at least on cars 4 or 5 years old. Then again, when I was looking for my first car over here, with 10k in my pocket, some of the cars that were appearing in my search results still had drum brakes at the back!

I suppose, somewhat. I don't downshift aggressively, but I do changed down as the vehicle slows. The biggest thing I try to adhere to is to not have my foot on the gas when there is a red (brake/ traffic) light ahead of me. And I almost always (maybe 90% of the time) either I don't reach a stationary vehicle or red traffic light before it moves on/ changes, or I am doing less than 20 mph and in second gear before I need the brakes.

That basically sums up my first experience with it. I'm still not sure I like it. In principle it appears to be a good thing but I don't think I'll ever get used to that sound

I try to do the same at red lights. Slow down slowly so I never actually need to stop. Except with an automatic gearbox

Btw - International Autosource are being great about their mistake with the order. Just going through options with them now, but really impressed with their honesty, openness and apparent genuine desire to get the best possible solution.

It's good to see those ridiculous "haunches" have disappeared, that the Mustang developed shortly after Chrysler Dodge launched the Charger.

Sounds like Mr. Clarkson named it. Does it have the word "thrust" in it anywhere?

Haha - yep, not so much chance of snow here. Even rain is but a distant memory at the moment, although we are promised some this weekend, so the roof may finally be up for a couple of days!

Yes, we love the new shape - that's why we held out and waited nine months for it!

Lol - nope, no "thrust" that I've noticed, although they have renamed the coupe "fastback", presumably because coupe just sounds too sedentary!
