As we got into the details it emerged it would be far easier for him to pick my daughter up, then go get his kids, then drop them all off. She explicitly asked if I would be ok with this, I said "yes, of course" to which she told me someone had actually told her last week that they had a problem with her husband giving her daughter a ride home, even though his kids were also in the car.

TBH If I didn't trust the guy, I wouldn't allow my daughter to have a ride with him at all, or go to their house... Thinking about your post though, I thought maybe he won't be comfortable with the situation, and will pick his girls up first.

Mostly I agree with Bob. It's too easy to have your life turned upside down by a false accusation. The risk might be small, but the consequences would be catastrophic. ..... Makes me think that I might look into what sort of wide angle video camera might be available to mount inside the car, perhaps at the top of the passenger side A pillar, so covering the driver and most of the rest of the car.

It is a weird world when we even have to worry/think about this...I'm pretty sure it wasn't even a consideration when I was a kid.

Doesn't seem to be a issue for the mums, just the dads and it's a little sad really.

Speaking of cameras - LyfeShot someone mentioned that to the missus as being a bit of fun, but could also be handy...though when they were talking about it, it was to capture lightening while driving through a storm :o

Yeah, you don't see it the other way around either, people with sons don't seem to mind Mum's driving their kids around.
