Default Just checking!

We have cunningly misplaced the letter instructing us to file for removal of conditions on my permanent residency. Don't worry, it's still in the house in the massive pile of papers on the desk, but while I'm waiting to find it...

The correct form is I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, correct? This one: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-751.pdf

Ta!

Correct, and it needs to be filed within the 90-day window just before your current green card expiration. Not sooner, not later.

Similar theme, so I'll just stick my question on here. I have my 1 yr extention letter from filing to remove conditions, and have done my biometrics etc.

My 2 year greencard expires in a few days, should I also carry my extention letter now or is it not necessary?

For daily use, you should carry a photocopy of your extension letter plus your green card.

For international travel, carry the original extension letter plus your green card.

Thanks everyone!

My 90 days are up Feb 8th but I wasn't sure whether or not I needed to actually be in the USA when it got filed, so I've waited until we were back from our trip to the UK.

Filling everything out today; sending it off tomorrow (after I've found the sodding letter!)

You don't need that letter to file. In fact, not everyone receives that letter anyway.

But doesn't the letter explain where to send the form in to? And other stuff, like supporting documentation? Seeing as I don't know any of that, I still need to find the letter.

I'm not sure how detailed the letter is, since we never got one. All that information is on the I-751 and instructions, found here:

That's fantastic. Thanks so much! Right... off to prove my son is evidence our marriage was "entered into with good faith"! Ah, USCIS... how I will miss thee.

Ditto to all. Here's a copy of the notice I recently received. Onward to the next stage

Bit confused now... do I include my son in part 5? It says to list all your children, but as he's already a citizen and not applying for the removal of conditions, do I list him?

I would assume I do and put CITIZEN in the immigration status box, correct?

If it says to list ALL children....then yes, I'd do what you described.
