Default JFK Airport Terminal 5

Hi there, I arrive on a Jetblue domestic flight into JFK T5 tomorrow and then continuing to leave from T5 on an international flight, all booked on the same code share ticket Jetblue/Aer Lingus.

My question is will I go through any security screening inside terminal 5?

I use T5 on most flights and I would say that once you have been checked in for your flight from ? tomorrow to JFK, you will be screened at that time for your connecting international flight. All gates are in T5 (left and right corridors) and you don't leave the secured area to access the other side.

Have you tried calling JB? They are great with customer service.

As long as you remain airside, there would be no reason to be re-checked through security.

If you leave the airport for any reason, then yes, you will go through TSA checks again.

Assuming you've been pre-cleared by US customs and immigration in Ireland (and all Aer Lingus flights are supposed to pre-clear, unless they're delayed past the time the US pre-clearance shuts up shop around 4pm) then you'll arrive as a domestic flight at JFK. That means you'll exit the plane into the airside area and won't need rescreening for a connecting flight. Just make sure your bags have been checked through to your final jetBlue destination when you check-in.
