Finally! How long have you been here? What prompted you, Donald Trump?

I've been here permanently since 2004, spent a year here a bit before, so it's been a while....but yeah, Trump and BritEx were up there for reasons, that and had 18 months left on greencard, so it was either now or next year so might as well be able to vote :)

How long did the application take to approve out of interest?

My 751 is still pending (Vermont is 12 months lagged it seems) from late last year, but am eligible to file my N-400 soon.

I sent my N-400 in towards the end of May and interview was the beginning of August and was approved on the spot, after doing the handful of questions and reading/writing a sentence in English. A few weeks later for the oath and it's job done so surprisingly quite quick.

Thanks, Bob! That's silly fast! I'm definitely filling my N-400 next month then.

Passport arrived this morning, along with the voter registration acknowledgement. Just under 2 weeks, which is very impressive :)

Thats super impressive! I always assumed it would take months to process/turn up! (like with a green card.etc).

I took my oath the same day as the interview/questions. So it varies from place to place.

Yes, the missus renewed hers at the beginning of summer last year and it was taking close to 8 weeks I think so they suggested expediting it, which she did and it still took 6 weeks. Just arrived days before we needed to travel.
