Ice Cubes

We don't use much ice. Bottled water goes straight into the garage fridge...I put some bottles in the freezer in summer.
Don't care for my drinks diluted with ice...I like my Grand Marnier straight up.

What ya talkin bout... Every time I would go in to a club/pub they always shove ice in my coke. Heck I ask em to leave out the ice, they fill glass up with coke, then I take a few sips and ask for ice lol. Gotta get my quids worth. (probably around a fiver for a soft drink now j/k lol)
I always had ice in my freezer, would use the ice bags instead of the trays much easier to get the ice out without wacking the blighter.

We always had ice in the freezer when i was growing up albeit in trays - not dispensed by some shiny monster freezer. You can buy bags of the stuff from most supermarkets in the UK now which makes me laugh. It's not like it's a hard recipe to make your own
.
P.S. Asda now doing frozen lemon wedges too but hubby says its gotta be lime for his corona

grew up in a small welsh village, and we had ice, but like everyone else only from the tray etc. My dad was friendly with the local pub (READ - drank there everyday
) so when we needed lots of ice we just used their machine.
But the village was a really popular tourist resort with lots of small bed and breakfast places. My mum used to rent out my room as a B&B during the summer. ANyhow a USC couple booked in for a few days, arrived and promptly walked out when they realised there wasnt a ice machine in the house!!!!

I, like most, had ice cubes in a tray when I was youngerr at home. Never bought one since I moved out 9 years ago though until I went to the Nou Camp and bought a novelty ice tray with the barcelona badges in it. Never used any ice, but it was a cool toy!
When we were kids, we used to put coke in the ice cube trays and mess the freezer right up....

See now it usually gets up into the 90's here in the summer with a lot of humidity and that's about all I can handle. Where you live I would die.

Growing up in the UK, we had a tray of ice cubes in the freezer plus my mum would freeze water in a large ice cream tub and use a pick to make very large ice cubes for the cooler when we went out on day trips, etc.

Always had ice trays and ice in blighty, but was hardly hot enough to ever bother use them, and don't really need to water drinks down, so don't really need ice.
Don't use that much ice here either, except in the freezer bag for the grocery shop in summer, but meh.
