Given that hurricanes aren't a new phenomenon, I can only assume that the underlying idiots' ancestors were the ones burning "witches" in times gone by.

Some Trumpers are stating that it's the government causing these hurricanes to cause havoc for people in the red areas so they can't vote, it's all a conspiracy, and that's why they have been getting death threats. Trump and supporters are NOT helping, and Trumps latest speeches seem to convince people that he is descending into dementia even faster.

Everyone ok?

My stepkids both rode out the storm, my stepson was in the eyewall just as it made landfall. No damage done to their places and, asking around, most of our friends in the landfall area had zero damage, but both my stepkids, their other halves, and their father are all looking at relocating out of state, nothing new for the lad, he's been busy tarting up the house ready to clear off but I didn't think the girl or her dad would ever consider leaving. They all say that the storms are hitting that area more often than ever before and with far greater inensity.

Dang it, I'm never going to get the yard cleared if people keep giving me tickets for Clemson home games...

I can see people just not wanting to deal with it any more. Not to mention what it's probably doing to home insurance costs.

On the other hand, I suppose it reduces competition for tickets. It's been a very long time since I went to a college game - I saw NU once in Evanston (back when they lost ALL the time) and Michigan once in Ann Arbor. It was actually quite fun, on a nice autumn day in small town America.

Just checking in. Lost power water sewer for a while and internet for a week. No house damage but lots of tree branches and fences down. Luckily my neighbor is a tree surgeon so that is in hand! Weather has been quite nice since the storm passed!
