How do Brits react when they hear Star Spangled Banner?
I read that the tune was originally from a popular British drinking song back in 18/19th Century. Is it still sung in Britain?

I'm always reminded of a joke my father in law told me about a guy called Jose who couldn't see the baseball game because he couldn't afford a ticket so someone let him sit on top of the flagpole. Then just before the game started, the whole crowd turned towards him and asked him "Jose, can you see?"

Are the descendant of John Stafford Smith still receiving royalty everytime Star Spangled Banner is played/sung publicly?

How they react all depends on if they have had the microchip implanted during the medical examination or not.

I didn't know that "My Country, 'Tis of Thee", the the unofficial national anthem of US until 1931, used the same tune as "God save the Queen".
It will be funny had US continued using that song as national anthem. Let's say during international sport event where the national anthem of the team is played before the game starts. US and UK will be playing the same tune should they play against each other.
