How bad is the UK?
Will all the floods and now it's not safe to even get fast food

Keeping people away from McDs is probably a good thing in any case.

The police don't use them, and they are very rare in civilian hands. The starting price for the cheapest automatic gun is almost $10,000.Assuming the shots were fired from a pistol, it was almost certainly a semi-automatic weapon, which would include revolvers. Almost all pistols are semi automatic, other than historic guns and related reproductions.

The UK has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. The weapons used almost certainly wouldn't have been held legally.

Many drugs are illegal in the UK also, do you know how difficult it is to buy illegal items in the UK, not very.

Pass all the laws you want about gun control but in the end it comes down to the honest citizenry respecting those laws and the criminal element saying "get stuffed"

Guns all over the place around Mallorca (but limited to shotguns). Saturday mornings sound like a war zone (hunters).
Curiously though, not much gun violence (on humans anyway). I believe it's far more cultural than a matter of law. I know it's possible for anyone to buy a handgun - illegally - but most people just don't feel the need to have one. People just don't seem to think it's an "entitlement", and most are culturally averse to robbery, violence, etc. They really don't seem to like that stuff at all.
