Horrible car crash takes life of British race car driver
For those who haven't heard Indy-car racer Dan Wheldon, who was born in Buckinhamshire but is now living in the US, passed away following a horrendous crash in the IndyCar Championship Series. A massive multiple car crash saw many vehicles go airborne and burst into flames, injuring several other drivers.

Very sad and surreal....doesn't look good in the replays...and at 33, very young.

I met Dan at a few Indy races over the years. Very nice person who would take the time to say "hello" and chat on occasion. He's left behind a wife and two young children. Very sad. They're all in my thoughts.

Just seen his Dad make a heartfelt tribute on Sky Sport's News. Very emotional statement but he said he died doing something he loved. Still a tragic way for someone so young to lose their life.
