Hope everyone's doing well.
I'm looking forward to dipping in again.
As well as major Government contracts I've been working on my tax situation. I feel I have read the complete tax code several times over.
Never again...
A CPA from now on...life's too short.
Cheers All

Hi petitefrancais
Getting very hot these days but I've been walking early, @ 9.00 am before it heats up too much.
I had to pull back a bit as 7 miles a day became wearing rather than sustaining. So about three times a week now. With yardwork and decorating in-between. (Moved into this place 8 years ago...about time we finished it.)
Legs, thighs, core are all solid. Digestion great. Acid reflux gone. Sleeping solid and getting up early every day.
Best $200 I've spent, for the annual park pass.
Now if I can only cut the wine...it's too easy to drink a whole bottle...
In other news, lots of wildlife around. Newly hatched Sparrows, Hummingbirds, Blackbirds, Mockingbirds. I'm learning to whistle to them which confuses them, Gopher snakes. (Harmless and mellow.) Squirrels which come up to my back door for a cup of seed now and again...
Thanks for stopping bye.

Re: Hope everyone's doing well.
Sounds interesting.
I'm into birds and would appreciate any photos or perhaps a bit of vid of the mockingbirds . Also, of the national park & if the squirrels are red, then those too.
Pretty please.

Re: Hope everyone's doing well.
Welcome back, looking forward to having you around again!
I'm plodding along, doing the usual stuff, ..... and contemplating sowing rice this after it has rained more or less every day for a week ..... and now we're expecting another 2"-4" overnight.
I'm with you on the tax/CPA thing, IMO it's the only way for us to go.

Re: Hope everyone's doing well.
We're pretty full-on here - big girl going to India for 3 weeks with some friends, then she's off to college (UT Austin).
Middle son wants to do a physics camp - any suggestions? V bright 16 year old about to start IB, he wants to study Physics at college.
Garden recovering from my pathetic attempts at looking after it and it is still cool and rainy in Austin too.
Got a fitbit a few weeks ago, clever stuff! Also got a test done at the gym that says I need 1400 calories a day, hmm, got a bit of surplus going! Red wine or stay within 1400 calories, tough call.

I'll try my best but I don't have a pro camera, just my iphone so it would maybe end up small/blurry.
The squirrels are grey I'm afraid although the baby ones are very cute.
The eat the fruit in my wee orchard every year but I don't mind...
A funny thing about the hummingbird feeder...the sparrows kept trying to get into it so I attached an upside down container cap to a post and I fill this with hummingbird solution...the sparrows come every day in pairs to take a drink, and they even wait turns.

We have black squirrels where we live. I never even knew there was such a thing, scared me the first time I saw one

Re: Hope everyone's doing well.
I'm back in LA for a few days for work. It was freezing when I landed in Burbank yesterday morning. Been in Westlake Village today and the sky has been totally grey, not seen any blue sky or the sun all day, and its really cold. I've gone 2 days without putting my sunglasses on, which is unheard of for me.
