Probably just over half a cord. If you'd like to pop over with your truck you're welcome to help yourself, but you'd better be quick because I am planning on having a fire this afternoon to burn the limbs and debris, and some of the logs.

Thanks for the offer not sure if I can make this afternoon however. Snow melt is causing flooding issues and I have had to do some pumping.

Snow melt at this time of year! Never seen it before.

FIL has already started mud season, a couple weeks ago. It is rather early.

Not so good for him as the golf courses haven't opened up yet.

So when are folks starting to plant their seeds?

Been planting for a few weeks now.
Mostly citrus, but also several mango and a guava.

Currently researching best varieties of avocado, too. Love me some avocados.

That's a shame, because another one, an 80-footer, I estimate, is coming down within the hour. It's dead, has been for almost a year, but at least this is going to be a clean drop. :fingerscrossed:

So it fell tidily fairly close to where I aimed. Some tension on the winch (strapped to a tree) was enough; I didn't get to use my felling wedges.

The upper trunk shattered on impact, what with the tree being dead, but the stump, main trunk, plus identifiable pieces measured exactly 80ft. I would guess that another 2-3ft of the apex was missing/lost.
