Well hellooooo Scarlett !! doing great up here in northern boonie land. Just landed a new job, sons getting married on Saturday, acquired 2 more dogs, kids over visiting from the UK and mum still refusing to fly over, luckily according to hubby i look good with grey hair !!

Nice to hear from you! S'been almost three years that I've been here now, still feeling fairly homesick, worse now that both my daughters are in the UK. Their dad sadly died over the summer and after seeing that trauma through together, they are determined to continue to stick together over there. I miss them very much.
But on a brighter note, tell us all about how things are with you and the family? If I remember right you had two much younger girls, are they sounding like Texans yet?

Garth and I bought a house last year. I am SO glad not to be living in an apartment any more. My mum comes over twice a year and rescues the garden!
I'm teaching ESOL at a local community college and working on my Masters.
All is going wonderfully well, actually!
I'm so sorry about your daughters. You must miss them terribly. You're not far from me, are you? We should meet up some time!
Good to be back in touch. We got wireless yesterday, at last. I feel like a new woman, sitting here on my porch, drinking Newkie Brown and chatting with friends old and new

Do I like it? Yes, but I suspect that has a lot more to do with the people I know than the place. There are good areas and bad. I live in a pretty cheap but pretty good
