Just wanted to say hi to everybody on BE. I moved to Ohio a week before Christmas last year, with my two kids and american husband!!
Have to say ...... now the never-ending snow has gone I'm starting to settle in nicely!! Just lovin' this sun!!

Hello. You'll have to start making your own curries. Other than New York there doesn't seem to be any decent Indian restaurants.

The curry thing passed for me and when I went home for a visit it was not all I had hoped it would be!
Hang on in there, there's a thread on here about ordering sauces and stuff online that might help with the cravings.

Sorry its a bit quiet but Sat night usually is..more people will drop in and say hi during the week

I'm just back for a trip to Vancouver and I had the best Indian at 'Maurya' restaurant...best I've ever had (nice modern surroundings, beautifully modern presentation of food and lovely subtle depth of flavour

We lived in Columbus for just over a year I thought the summer & winter were brutal

well welcome to Northeast Ohio
Only 2 decent curries I've had since coming here have been at a small place (and I forget the name) on Detroit Road on the west side of Cleveland. Excellent all you can eat buffet for under $10. The other was at a place on the south side of Dayton ( http://www.amarindiadayton.com/ ).

click on search punch in British Foods and a lot of websites come up.I just cannot remember the name.
Also in Ohio if you have a Biggs grocery store or Meijhers they have good selections European foods
my children are all back that way,And always manage to have marmite and good tea.Another thought how far are you from Fairfield Ohio???
They have this huge store called Jungle Jims has food from all over the world.It is a fabulous store
takes up a few acres of land and the owner is still building......................Hope that helps
