I have been here since 1996 and love it. The south is great, the weather is hot i wear shorts all the time. The winter gets cold but it really snows here when it does no one drives. The beaches are great we go to gulf shores alot about 3 hours for us. No fish and chips unless you go to captain dees. I love atlanta like to watch baseball so we travel to atlanta to watch the braves. I have been marriage for 11 years got 2 kids all american. We are going home for christmas this year and also going to paris for a couple of days.

I was born and lived in Darlo up until 1975 when I moved to the midlands, in 1978 left the UK and have wandered the globe since.
Moved to Atlanta in 2006 after nearly 10 years in Dubai.
I was back 'home' in the North East twice last year as my mam was ill and in December she passed away.
All the best with your trip to the UK in December, if you are at a loose end when supporting the Braves in Hotlanta give me a shout and we can maybe swap stories over a couple of bevvies.
