Have arrived!
Just to let you all know we have finally arrived in the usa!!
Thanks to all of you who have helped us
just trying to get used to the food and stuff !
Many thanks p.s We arrived at newark airport and the staff were brilliant just checked our white forms and off we went,we did not have to go to the dreaded secondry
will get back with more details soon!

Excellent news glad it wasnt a hassle,
On the food front try and forget all the stuff you could buy at Tesco's and the other supermarkets in the UK its almost all different here in the US. Occasionally you will be desperate for the likes of HP sauce but there are so many different things you can buy here that you only dreamed about at home, like all you can eat BBQ ribs for $9.99,
Hope you settle down quickly and get on with this great adventure

Just allow extra time for shopping at the supermarket. It takes ages to pick through all the brands of tinned tomatoes and pasta sauce and by the time you've tried them all you can't remember which ones you liked best.
The same goes for the rest of your groceries... then factor in trying out a couple of other stores and you'll realize settling in will take time.
Just be prepared for it!

Since you came through Newark, you may be now resident in NJ. If this is the case there are a few places with quite a lot of english goodies for sale, including an english food store in Montclair and Gary's in Madison.... just in case!
