An American friend of mine asked for an iced tea in the UK, he was given a cup of hot tea with milk in it with an ice cube on the saucer by a very confused waitress.

Root Beer is delicious, if done right. The old Dog&Suds was the best. If you want a nasty soda, go to Maine and try Moxie.
