Default Happy Memorial Day!

I'm not a flag waver by any means, but I had to say this image touched me ... it's a statue of a soldier saluting the flags, by the lake in Fountain Hills (near Phoenix). Second pic is of a Saguaro, taken on a short trail around the lake.

Weather was a positively mild 84 (which at 14% humidity is not hot at all).

Fabulous photos. Here in south central PA it's currently 91f with humidity at 45%

Happy Memorial Day to you as well. Although not a flag waver myself, its a good day to remember. My grandmother said when she was young they used to call it Decoration Day....

Anyway, the weather sounds fabulous! Certainly better than ours, cloudy and a high of 55....

Same to you

I did try to watch a little bit of the tribute on PBS last night but had to turn it off - too upsetting. There is something specially tragic about young boys dying violent and bloody deaths so far away from home.

The missus had to work, which took the shine off a rather nice day, but it was nice to have a lounging weekend, even if the weather was poop the last couple days.

Lovely photos' SP
