Great British websites

Re: Great British websites
Forget HP - you want the slightly runnier generic "brown" that comes in the brown plastic squeezy bottle in the caff... perfectly juxtaposed against its close neighbour, "red"...

Re: Great British websites
A brilliantly generous EBCB, it has a feeling of plenitude, of milk and honey, abundance. Almost like some sort of genie (or djinn) has invented a bottomless plate that keeps disgorging food into the middle of the plate. Brilliant. Look at all those beans, you could lose yourself in there..

But strangely, when in the UK, I'll squeeze the brown bottle and not question what comes out of it. I even wipe the crusty bits off the top. I don't do "red" with anything that even resembles breakfast.
Now you have me missing the Motorway, and that's a first!

Don't despair, expats! I'm still in the UK and finding it harder and harder to find fish 'n' chips!

Re: Great British websites
Now and again I stumble upon a fantastic website that's so British in nature I can't help but feel a tad homesick.
Here's today's gem:
http://russelldavies.typepad.com/eggbaconchipsandbeans/
Red sauce, and piping hot tea.....
Does anyone else have their own examples?

I don't think this place has a website but here's a page of reviews. This is where you get healthy English food - all you can eat for 3.95 pounds No need for brown or red sauce here!!

Many of us remember Stanley Green and it has left an indelible impression.

How horrible.
"His own diet consisted of porridge, home-made bread, and barley water mixed with powdered milk."
