something that should have been invented but hasn't?

Was thinking when using my brolly - why are the spokes in the middle of it? As you are walking with brolly upright half of it is keeping the ground in front of you dry. I think the small handheld umbrellas (for the USCs who may not know what a brolly is ) spokes should be at one side so 2/3rds of it is actually covering you and the other third is like a big brim.

Resting the brolly shaft on your shoulder doesn't work as the front is more open to wind and rain and the back of the brolly just drips down your back.

Anyone got any thoughts or inventions in their minds and want to share?

p.s I'm too lazy to do anything about mine so don't mind it being public also it may just be a crap idea

Ha! Even the 1-800 is legit. I just called it.
I love how it the announcer says it "stays in place" when you can clearly see the person struggling to make it do so.

well not being biased or anything I think my idea is better and it won't make you look stupid

I can understand the not inverting in the wind but surely the rain is just going to pour of onto your clothes!!

Glad someone is coming up with new ideas just need to keep at it

i've had loads of invention ideas but never followed through on any of them. i just know now that my tiny little grey matter will be keeping me awake tonight trying to remember some of them. I did have a corker of an idea the other day but ............

will one of you invent a microwave bed. ie you can jump in the thing and get a full nights sleep in 20 minutes! would be rather handy!
