I've got 9 streets and have property on most (I think), but have only had one bonus building so far. I've had 3 hazard buildings to build on opponents streets, and I'm not sure whether to use them on some of the big shot leaders or on local people to me who's streets I might want.

I tried putting those hazard buildings on big players but most already had them or there wasn't any room for them because people had loaded their streets with them.

I suspect some cheating going on somewhere, plus the game is going to be reset soon anyways.

They're resetting now. I'm a bit pissed off that I'll have to start again, I was building up a pretty good little empire

Good!

My start wasn't all that great. I think I figured out how to make money fast: find an expensive street, buy it and fill it with real estate. More expensive streets will give you more rent for the same building than cheaper streets. And don't spread your property all over the map. It seems that owning complete neighbourhoods increases the value of your property.

I wonder if you can have lots of accounts and sell yourself things cheap, maybe that's what the leaders were doing.

There's no maybe about it. That's exactly what the leaders were doing. Hopefully with the reset they'll fix that.

Yeah me too but I was just getting the hang off how to make money fast (without cheating) so now I can start again. Trouble is now I can't bloody log in.

I'm logged in but it won't show me any streets that are available.

Me neither. I wonder if it would just be easier to re-register?

On twitter is was suggesting that you buy a street in another country and that would somehow solve the problem. Mine did clear up though. Just read the FAQ though and saw the tax stuff, you can end up paying 100% tax if you own too many streets.

Well that's a stupid rule, and how many is too many?

im back on but can only find toontje and nethead regsistered. I was able to buy a street but is cost 2.8 million - same street cost 1 million last time

also from the faq

Q: How does daily tax work?

A: There is only one certainty in MONOPOLY City Streets. Tax. Just like in real life, tax now plays an integral part of the game. Tax works as follows: The first 5 streets owned are not taxed. Thereafter the current tax rate is 3% PER STREET you own. For example, if you own 15 streets your tax will be 30% of your total rent collected every day. If you own 25 streets your tax will be 60%. Remember, at 38 streets you will effectively be taxed 100% and so won’t be making any profit and your bank balance won’t increase.

Q: Does owning streets that are connected to each other have any special power/rent opportunity?
A: No.

Q: All my streets and buildings have been sold. Why? And what do I do?

A: It pays to play regularly and doesn’t to not. If, after 2 weeks, there has not been any activity on your account, the bank automatically repossesses ALL your streets. Ouch. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to start again. This time, keep buying, building and negotiating on a more regular basis. You won’t need to set up a new account, just log with your username and password.

Q: I just bought a street, but now it’s telling me I can’t sell it. How can I sell it?

A: No street can be bought or sold more than once per day. So, be clever about which streets you negotiate for.
