Gotta love the efficiency of UPS's international service.... I'm in the UK and my boyfriend is in Georgia; on Wednesday afternoon, I ordered him 3lb of fudge from an American fudge company in the US, to be delivered to his apartment (all part of my supersecret plan to put him in a sugar coma
) And the company had a deal where if you spent so much, you got a box of chocs as a freebie..... I didnt realize they put MY address for the freebie shipment...
on Friday morning at 8am, UPS showed up at my door here with my free gift... BEFORE theyd made his delivery to him in the U.S. He didnt get his till the afternoon! I was gobsmacked - i musta paid no more than about $35 in total, and for that i got 3 separate UPS 2 day shipments, 1 of them International! not to mention the 3lb of delicious fudge and yummy freebie chocs!
Hoorah for the Fannie may fudge company, and hoorah for UPS for a bl00dy brilliant International delivery!

Well that is certainly some service!!
I am normally impressed with USPS but last week they certainly had a brain fart - we sold some stuff on ebay and I dutifully went to the post office and mailed it all away.
Saturday one of the parcels ends up back on our doorstep
the dullards had sent it back to us and not to the TO: address!!!
So off I go again to the post office today!!!

...and not so good ol Parcel Force.
My aunt mailed a Xmas present 10 days before Xmas to my son here in Texas (she later realised that the service she paid for was up to 28 days for delivery) and guess what? it still hasn't arrived. I don't think it will now

I had a customer order a jumper from us in time for Christmas delivery.. she wrote to tell me it never arrived until the 13th of Jan.. because of the snow there.
Still, they loved the sweater.

That's crazy! My Aunt is so mad - she is adamant she told the post office clerk that the present had to be here in time for Christmas and they said no problem. She never checked her receipt until after Christmas when the parcel hadn't arrived. £50 of a present and £30 to post. I think dude will be getting cash next year!
