Cool Good Indian Curry

Found Pataks curry sauce at Krogers supermarkets, not sure if its country wide.

Nothing like a vindaloo curry on a hot day, with poppadums and a Cobra Indian beer

We have some good Indian restaurants here, and we get some British curry stuff and local supermarkets here too. I had a Vindaloo Curry a few weeks back, and I used to love them back in the UK. My taste buds must have changed or my system must have changed because I could no longer handle the really spicy hot curry. Guess I will have to settle for less spicy foods from now on.

We've found a seriously good curry house here in Plano, TX at long last.

Serving all the Indian engineers working in one of the new Texas Instruments silicon chip factories up here. The curry's really top-notch, and the lunch buffet is only $8.50.

I was so happy when we found it, I had tears in my eyes as I ate my third plateful... and not just from the spice!

Ohh seriously jelous! I've almost started considering if I should learn to cook the favourites from the Indian cuisine...

Can't just pop to Southall to find the spices though so the plan kind of fell over before it started hehehe

Decided I will sample the curry houses around... might be a painful experience though if it is anything like the Thai food for lunch today... bad bad really bad...

How did your curries go? Just got back from a week in London myself, and had curry every night! Six good ones but one that was fairly rancid and made US Indian restauarnts look good. Managed to re-visit all my fave curry haunts and most of the pubs I like too. It was a real tonic! (well, when you include the 50-odd pints of real ale I managed to sink along the way).

I know, it's not big and it's certainly not clever - but boy did I need it! I feel like a new man...
