Be honest, will they actually be amazed at a cabin located in the wilderness.
We've got a dual DVD setup (Bought by my parents last year when they drove the kids to and all around Colorado!)that will pipe one movie to both screens or operate individually, each kid has a PSP, and both are voracious readers. If all that fails, it's a pickup with a 6ft bed and I have rachet straps...

We'll be staying near my in-laws who live on a boat moored here: http://www.cherryfamily.co.uk/US%20t...e%20MArina.jpg most of our time there will be pulling crab pots, taking day trips to have picnics with the eagles and seals on tiny uninhabited islands and visiting different port towns around the Straits of Juan De Fuca and the surrounding area. When we're not on the water we've got trips planned here: http://virtualguidebooks.com/Washing...scent_TOC.html and here: http://virtualguidebooks.com/Washing...Ridge_TOC.html and a few other places. Here's a few pics I took on out last trip out there: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showp...2&postcount=26

Can't say I particularly like the winters here (although there are worse places, I'm sure!) But it is lovely here in the Pacific Northwest all other times. I hope, whether you fly or drive, that you have an enjoyable time.
