Default Gift Ideas

Hi All

Bit of a different thread but here is the situation I find myself in.

I am heading over for two weeks from the UK to denver and I want to get the people I am staying with a decent gift for letting me stay.

We are in Denver for three days and then heading to their cabin in the Rockies for a while.

I want to get them something for the Cabin but have no idea what to get.

Suggestions anyone?? Fairly generous budget.
Cheers

Ollie

How about a nice wool blanket? will come in handy on those cold nights and hopefully not too heavy. You could probably pick one up at the airport.

I think it doubles as a blanket. Well, more of a sleeping bag really I guess.

Folk often ask me what to get my Mam when they go to stay in her house in Spain. I tell them to wait till they get there and see what she likes....she has a collection of cactus on the patio, and one of the walls in the courtyard is covered with Spanish pottery. Invariably folk add to those, with a little note and she loves seeing the new stuff that has arrived. Maybe once you get there you will see something that would fit. Otherwise, I think the blanket idea is great. The bear, not so much

You won't find many shops in the airport once you come out of immigration/customs that would have blankets. You may find one though. There is a shop after security that does sell them, but that would only be useful when you are on the way home. It is a lovely idea though. Try a google search and you may find a place that sells them. Look for Pendleton blankets or "Indian" blankets.

That looks great--kudos to Montfan!

I love blankets and throws--I've got a little piles of them upstairs and downstairs, on the sofa, in the bedrooms, etc. You can never have too many . . . lovely to wrap up in a nice new one on a cool evening

If you’ll be spending some time in the Rockies, the folks might appreciate some nice woolen mufflers.

Nice piece of duct tape holding the wall together.
