In English all you need is to get he/she/it right and the third-party verb spelling is the same.
If I remember correctly, the verb ending in French depends on the 'person', not the gender.

To use a regular verb 'aimer', the conjugation for the third person is always going to be aime (singular) or aiment (plural), whether or not the pronoun is il, elle, ils or elles.

If so, you remember more French than me.

Not sure I get you Pulaski.

I walk Je marche
you walk tu marches
he walks il marche
she walks elle marche

ils marchent
elles marchent

it doesn't change between he/she. only plural /singular.

I did it for five years, it tends to stick with me. I did have to look up the third person plural conjugation though, but I did remember the singular.

In Spanish (the 2nd or 3rd most frequently used language in the world btw) you rarely even use a pronoun before a verb. It's contained within the conjugation itself.

Swings and roundabouts...
Don't think this is just a Texas thing but a US experience as everyone is so busy. If they are not tramping their kids around various sports events, they are working several jobs. We have an expat friend who when she first came over here would be out socialising all the time. Then the kids came along and at first it wasn't too bad but then the eldest got into dancing competitions and now her son is up and coming ice hockey star. Her latest trip took her all the way up to Michigan, the rest of the season was split between, Austin, Dallas and various cities in OK. She just doesn't have time to go and have coffee/drinks with the girls anymore

We have friends in MA who husband had 3 jobs, just for their girls to enter dance competitions which could be in Vegas or the West coast. They are fully grown now so at least M can get on her cruises now but basically for a good number of years she just didn't have time.

Then of course there are the people who just have to work several jobs just to make ends meet.

For someone like myself who has acres of time on their hands, this was very frustrating when I first came here but actually now I am so use to my own company, I find it hard to actually be sociable. In the past I have tried numerous classes but people are so spread out and again, working, it was just hard to keep in touch. However, recently joined a local plein air group and I am really enjoying that, talking to people and actually seeing the local landscape, (they know all the good places, so much is private!).

I have enjoyed this thread as someone who cannot comprehend languages at all, including our own language. Every time I open my mouth I mangle it much to the amusement of my husband and kids. French is even worse! Listening to a good podcast at the moment as I do my art work on the development of the English language. So kudos to anyone speaking in another language even if it isn't the correct form.

Now the internet is unhappy with Old Navy (I think Gap owns them?) over an ad featuring a white male model as "dad" a black model as "mom" and a black model as the child.

Interracial Old Navy ad spurs negative reaction, Canadian model speaks out - National | Globalnews.ca

Twitter lit up over the photo in the tweet and said such idiotic things like:

"Absolutely disgusting. What's next? Gender neutral bathrooms? Pedophilia acceptance propaganda?! Never shopping here again."

"My family and I will never step into an @OldNavy store again. This miscegenation junk is rammed down our throats from every direction."

There were however many positive reactions to the ad as well.

But seems no matter what in the US, everything ends up a controversy somehow these days.

"miscegenation" I had to Google it. If they boycott then there will be less racists at the mall is all.

I had to google it as well, I have never heard that word let alone know the meaning of it.

I wonder at times how many of these folks on twitter are just trolls to stir things up.

Thank god for that, I had no clue. You'd think someone who knew the word would have a brain, but apparently not.

Because interracial shenanigans never happened until Old Navy dreamed it up.

FFS peeps, I had to google it as well. To save anyone else taking the trouble, it means...'the interbreeding of people considered to be of different racial types'.
