Default Frightened half to death

This morning I had an MRI and left the hospital at 10:50. At 11:50 the home phone rings and I see my doctor is calling me. Now in England if they call you that quick after a hospital test you have days if not hours to live. They just wanted to tell me the results where in and I should schedule an appointment with my doctor.

They were very nearly were dealing with a heart attack victim, my stomach churned when I saw that phone call.

Compared to what Songbird has had to endure mine is a very minor problem of hopefully no more than a trapped nerve and I consider myself very fortunate. I don't normally drink at lunch time but a stiff malt steadied the nerves.

Good man! Have one for me.

I can see why you crapped yourself - one learns that certain calls at certain times are never, ever, good news.

I think that's the plan...they can charge you more if you have a heart attack

I think I'd have a heart attack if after getting some tests a Medivac helicopter landed on my yard. That would be a bit ominous.

Hope it goes well.

Yes. but look on the bright side - at least they would be able to rush you to hospital really quickly!

... and really expensively ...
