Ah, but what would you do if he became a scoutmaster?

I see those little 'no guns' signs up all over the place since Illinois passed concealed carry last year. Obviously on banks and at daycare. I think a few shops, too.

Surely one would just leave it in the glovebox and lock the car in such a case? I'm not sure I'd want to bring my gun in when I'm eating, if I had one. It's enough of a pain in the arse having to deal with my keys, wallet and phone, never mind adding a gun into the mix

Kind of a non-issue this one, isn't it?

I am much more concerned with those who ignore firearms laws and those little signs than with people who register their firearms and go through the process to obtain a concealed weapon permit.

I agree. I have no issue with concealed carry, I just thought it would be no big deal if you couldn't bring your gun into a shop or whatever.

Personally I'm more interested to hear what this 'homosexual agenda' is

Removing a concealed weapon is inconvenient, as is storing it while you enter the store, then putting it back in to concealment after you leave.
A console safe in the vehicle is a good idea, rather than the glove box.

As a business owner, I agree a business should be allowed to decide who can carry on their property, just as the license holder may choose not to patronize the establishment for doing so.

I carry, I don't post 30.06 signs on my premises, I allow my staff who hold a valid CHL to carry (after they sign a disclaimer that I'm merely allowing them to exercise their right, and not making it a condition of employment to carry or actually use it). I don't boycott businesses that do post 30.06, but I'll admit I do seek out those that don't as they are more convenient. My bank does not post 30.06, and this was a deciding factor on why I chose them.

Interesting, I mentioned a family member is gay and you assume its a male? The family member is actually female.

Please don't assume a gay is automatically a male, that is completely socially unacceptable in this day and age I tell you ...

I suppose there are inconveniences on either side. Now I wonder though, what the big deal on the side of the shops is, if the guns are concealed anyway, then WGAF? It's not as if they're automatically going to get pulled out and shot anyway.

Also, I wonder if they get the irony of using 30.06 as the section number for that particular item

What's the point of having them then?
