Had my 2 yearly check up at the eye doctor this morning, conversation went something like this.
"Well David your macular degeneration has got slightly worse, and eventually it will reach a stage where your eyesight will have deteriorated enough that you will not be able to read. But with the speed yours is progressing I don't see you have anything to worry about as you will probably be gone (read dead) before it gets that bad."
So FFS is that good news or not![Blink](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/blink.gif)

I've found the eye doctor I see here much better than a High St optician back in the UK. But then he is an eye surgeon so you would expect him to know more. In fact this visit wasn't cover by my new insurance so I paid rather than see someone else, as I have built up a lot of trust in him over the last six years.

If you're in the burbs, one of the top eye surgeons actually practices in Milford. He also spends a few days a week in Boston too, but it's an option.
