Everybody changing their profile pic to themselves

It is good but also strange, as I have gotten used to just seeing comic cartoons for avatars on here. Also, some people look different than I imagined (not in a better or worse way, just different; isn't it strange how you build up a mental pic of what the person may look like based on their posts)

*Random thought of the day*

Hoffage :)

Ironic, considering you look nothing like you do on Facebook :p

True!

The pic on my facebook fan page was taken a while back when I was about 24 (pre-beard lol)

Current pics include the beard - I will post a current one up so people can compare :)

Edit: Done!

Naah, I'll pass. If you want to see me, my husband, and Smoky the Cat, we are in my profile pic. :)

I'd noticed that, people's avatars maybe being themselves ... Is that announced somewhere? I actually haven't updated mine since 1865 and as it happens I don't wear such a full beard these days. Course in those days you had to pay a photographer you couldn't do daguerreotype selfies.

It's a thread in the lounge.

I don't recognise my avatar now I've changed it - I find myself reading my own posts and thinking "He seems like a sensible fellow, thinks just like me" ... I really am losing my marbles.

My profile picture has always been of myself. Wasn't it obvious?

Yes, I had worked that out a long time ago. :sneaky:

I keep forgetting to do mine because I've not been near my computer and I can't be arsed figuring out how to change it from a phone.

Meh - nicked from my arsebook profile. Most recent picture of me as the only way I will tolerate a selfie is with my own camera, timed on a tripod and I can't be arsed doing that right now :p

Some people look nothing like I thought they would. But then again I'm not sure what I thought they would look like.

A few years ago we changed our avatars to our childhood photos. Then there was a huge kerfuffle in the Lounge with cursing and swearing and general threats ... and it gave the impression of a bunch of five year olds having existential meltdowns, which was actually quite apropos.

:rofl:Hehe we should have that one again!

.. All we need now is HungryHorace's pic - preferably in a wheelchair, for extra comedic value  Come on Horace, don't let us down!

Not sure this will work as I'm hopeless with computers - me earlier this year when I turned 60 (mimosa for breakfast)!
