I don't think a call, such as this one, was ever featured on Trumpton.

Many years ago before I even hit for 20's I worked in a hospital and the sights that came in would make your eyes water, we had a woman arrive late one night still in her car which was on a tow truck, and she was locked on the gear stick, I remeber we all cried with laughter, obviously behind the scenes, where do this people get these ideas lol.........

silly woman.....she only had to spend about 20 quid and she could of done it in the privacy of her own bedroom....

I was listening to the radio scanner one night when a similar call went out. A guy was sticking it through a chain link fence and teasing a dog or something, when the dog jumped up and CHOMP. Firemen rushed to the scene (no, it was not detached) but kept laughing on the radio when they were trying to call it in.
The other scanner thing was a report of a man playing with himself in front of the windows of a Golds Gym. The police car called back and said 'umm, do you have a description of the suspect?'. The dispatched paused and replied 'How about you just arrest anyone with their thing hanging out?'
