Default Does anyone happen to have this week's email code??

My hubby wants to contact them to let them know that he'd like to accompany me to my interview, and he doesn't want to put a letter in the mail (we don't really trust Royal Mail anymore after several cock-ups!!)

We've called them so many times and spent a fortune on those calls, so if anyone could provide this week's code, that would be much appreciated!!

Thanks Kat

oliver22, you betcha !! Cannot wait for this whole nightmare to be over - my interview date is September 8, so hopefully, I'll be able to celebrate!! When is yours again? It's sooner than mine, isn't it?? Are you getting nervous? Are you taking additional stuff to the interview, like pictures etc.? I tried to ask people about this in another thread, but that didn't go down too well and I was accused of being to lazy to figure it out myself, so didn't get too much useful information...

We just called them, by the way, and got another email address to send the info to so no code!

Hi katj, I am taking some extra info but no photos, I spoke to them and they said just to take the documentation that they said was required and that would be sufficient but would rather have too much than too few. Mine is on monday, getting a little nervous but happy it will all be over soon

You'll probably think this response is rude and unhelpful... but why didn't you just call them first, rather than post looking for someone to give you the answer?

I am very flattered by the interest you take in all my posts.

I was under the impression that we needed a code to put in the reference line of our email, which I was told changes weekly, so was hoping that someone might be able to provide this without us having to call the super expensive phone number to get it. I hope this makes sense to you.

I just noticed that you're in Cheltenham... birthplace of one of my favorite composers, Gustav Holst. While most folks know of him only from his orchestral suite The Planets, I've always been more interested in his vocal works - specifically his Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda. My undergraduate degree was in music theory and composition.

Ian, some people come to BE to ask first, hoping to get some quick guidance. Perhaps after posting here, they find the answer on their own, as Kat did here. She came back and posted her answer on her own.

It really isn't helpful to point out that they could have done this in the first place...it's over now, and you saw that her issue got resolved. Please refrain from posting these types of comments in general. If you see a poster had an issue, and it's been resolved, there is no reason to post anything else.

Thank you,

Rene

Oliver22 - what extra info are you taking?? I find it so hard to understand what it is one is supposed to / can take!! I can't think of anything apart from photos (of which we have hundreds and I"m sure we could bore them to death )
We don't have any flight stubs etc as we've lived together for years..we have two cats together, but unfortunately, they can't vouch for us

This is why I posted that other question - I know some people mention bringing "proof of bona fide marriage", but I just don't know what that could be, apart from photos in our case....I"m probably fretting too much and they will probably not ask for anything....I"m just a bit of a worrier by nature, and I kinda think what could go wrong will go wrong (like my German police certificate application getting lost in the mail....etc...etc...)

It helps to talk to like-minded people, though, doesn't it??

Ian - I have to admit that, despite the fact that I live in Cheltenham AND the fact that I worked for a classical music agency for many years, I don't know much about Holst; he is not big on the classical music scene in Germany (where I worked in the business) despite being basically German (I think both his parents were). I bow my head in shame!! Will try to check out his vocal stuff - I do love choral works, but mostly Bach etc.

I know what you mean. I don't keep e-mails after I have responded to them (I guess I'm not very sentimental!) and always communicate with my partner using Skype, so no phone bills etc. I don't keep plane tickets (never saw the need before I started looking into immigration). I do have photos, of course, but a lot of those are ones I have taken of him or he of me. There aren't so many of us together. That said, I can't imagine they would want to look at albums upon albums, so a handful obviously taken over a significant period of time might suffice. I'm racking my brain trying to think of things that would be appropriate to our personal circumstances, but I'm not having much luck.

At least it will be quite some time before I get to your stage of the process, so I guess I'll start saving my e-mails now!

Please don't ask for another person's email code.

Thanks.
