Do you like where you live?

Do you like where you live?
I can honestly say I really do like the city I live in (Grand Rapids, MI) of course I have complaints such as the winters but that is offset by usually nice springs, beautiful mild and colourfull falls and amazing summers.

I like where I live in that I love my house and immediate neighborhood is nice (nice == quiet).
Dunkin Donuts and the local Diner are close enough that I can see them from the house... life is good.

Yup, whats not to like, Marina Del Rey in Cali
Being a typical Brit I could moan about the highest gas prices in the US and 57 different taxes, Federal, State, disability, medicare, social, Aunt Fanny, dogs nob, made up blah blah, I work long hours, 2 weeks vacation
But......................I won't, I love it here!

That's very weird because earlier this morning when I was sitting out in the gazebo and it was all quiet except for birds singing I was thinking to myself, I love it here
Then, Percy the resident Peacock started screaming, the Woodpeckers started tapping and then the driver of the freaking train that passes by about a mile away decided if he was working on a Saturday morning then everyone needed to know it because he blew his horn for at least three miles....
But yeah, mostly I enjoy life here.

I like where I live very much - East Dorset on the border with Hampshire.
Pleasant, gentle climate, lovely countryside and coast within striking distance. Good transport links, both national and international. Decent, vibrant economy. Lovely towns and cities nearby.
Only thing (for me) that's a tad lacking is that there is no really dramatic scenery near by - no mountains or really dramatic cliffs. Other than that, a pretty perfect place as far as I am concerned

Hand on heart, I LOVE living in San Diego.
Amazing year round climate and sunshine, beautiful beaches, great surf, little to no humidity, hummingbirds in the garden, dolphins in the ocean, great food... amazing flora and trees (if I could meet the person who designed the urban landscaping in SoCal I would high-five them into next week), relatively mild traffic for Southern California, spanish missions/architecture, always somewhere to take the kids, casual and outdoor lifestyle... I have to restrain myself when folks back home ask how I'm doing out here

Right now i'm living on the outskirts of Sheffield, UK commuting into the centre for work. I'm enjoying it, we have the country side and a decent city to have fun in.

Re: Do you like where you live?
Central Ohio is beautiful, in a lush, green fashion that reminds me of the UK. The people seem very friendly too. I'm enjoying having 4 seasons again, after AZ.
I'm bored, however, of living in suburbs. This one isn't too bad - it's from the 1980s so is fairly mature with plenty of nice trees, architecturally diverse by American standards, and moderately central so it's only 1.5-2 miles to some shops and restaurants.
But I'm SO looking forward to not having to base where I live around the need for excellent schools and a family-friendly location. Scenic, isolated rural is out of the question with pre-and-teens; schools in walkable urban downtowns... um, no.

Yeah AZ only has two seasons. Summer and not summer. I'm a bit worried this year with el Niko licking things up. Already mid 80s what is the rest of summer going to be like?

Dude, it's going to be hot in Phoenix this summer. I was there this time last year and really enjoyed the mild sunny winter.

Re: Do you like where you live?
It's been 70 degrees in Ohio today. The weather is bonkers this year; my poor kids have only had one Snow Day!
