Following severe weather in the DFW area today, the vast majority of American and American Eagle’s schedule has been cancelled and will not operate tonight. Both airlines also must inspect, per FAA rules, significant numbers of aircraft for possible hail damage - 68 American aircraft and 29 American Eagle aircraft must be inspected. We are working to re-accommodate our customers as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience as we work through this process to return to normal operations at DFW after this extraordinary weather event. We recommend you check AA.com Flight Status at bit.ly/AASTATUS1 for information on your flight.
