I have a confession to make. I don't like sprouts. Never have. They are probably the only vegetable (other than perhaps lima beans) that I've never been able to enjoy.

Yeah, my neighbour loves it, even grows it in her garden! It's pretty disgusting to eat, has a horrible texture, no matter how it's cooked I cannot imagine anyone liking the taste!

Do you dislike all squash? Good roasted, or grilled with zucchini. Yum.

Don't worry. You're perfectly normal. They taste disgusting, which is why the vast majority of people only eat them once a year.

If anyone says sprouts are good for you tell them they contain natural chemicals that kill rats: gluco-something or another, and there's no way you're eating rat poison. That should end the conversation.
