Default A confession ...

I have a confession to make. I don't like sprouts. Never have. They are probably the only vegetable (other than perhaps lima beans) that I've never been able to enjoy.

Is there hope for me?

Nope, it's all over for you. Nothing left now but a slow decline and then - the peace of the grave.

As it happens, I can't stand homity (if that's how you spell it). It's that weird shit that looks like sweetcorn but has a texture like chick peas.

WTF? Our cafeteria at work serves well cooked, well seasoned sprouts at least twice per week, and my 'Murikan colleagues scoff them down...

...then fart them back in my afternoon meetings!

I was forced to eat it regularly as a child. But my parents are from California. Might explain a few things.

Yeah, my neighbour loves it, even grows it in her garden! It's pretty disgusting to eat, has a horrible texture, no matter how it's cooked I cannot imagine anyone liking the taste!

Do you dislike all squash? Good roasted, or grilled with zucchini. Yum.

Which one? They have different textures. "Slime" is no good though.

Don't worry. You're perfectly normal. They taste disgusting, which is why the vast majority of people only eat them once a year.

If anyone says sprouts are good for you tell them they contain natural chemicals that kill rats: gluco-something or another, and there's no way you're eating rat poison. That should end the conversation.
