College football season starts!
yes its that time of year again. This year though I have a dilemma.
Previously we always 'supported' the Ohio State Buckeyes, as they were the local team and it was a big deal there in mid Ohio. I still love the team and follow them - but now we have uprooted from Ohio and live in Texas I feel i should probably start to switch to a local team like The Longorns or Aggies.
And then - an old neighbor of mine from Ohio - he son got a football scholarship and he was recruited to play at Princeton. I knew him a little, he was a great kid, so Id kind of like to support him too.
So while im still a Buckeye - i feel a little torn this year! Who are you all supporting?

The inlaws are from Kansas City, so I am honor bound to be a KU fan (Rock Chalk!) though they are a basketball school more than a football one.
ASU here in Phoenix are a pretty good football team.

I don't know anything about College football, although I live about 20 minutes away from the home of the Georgia Bulldogs.
I guess I should catch a game at some point.

I am told I am supposed to like the Washington Huskies,
and dislike the Washington State Cougars and Oregon Ducks.
but I don't really care. I'll say 'well done' when promoted, seems to keep people happy.
I only know the Pac 12 teams at all.

Given that the major marketing point made by realtors round here is "You can see Beaver Stadium from here !!" which apparently is where Penn State play, I am proposing to support Oldham Athletic....
Penn State, the team with the inspiring motto "We are Penn State", which seems to be about their intellectual limit.

I love college football. My family is from near Columbus so I follow Ohio State very closely. Here in Arizona I follow the Arizona Wildcats.
We were in Phoenix a few years ago on a visit and I took hubby to a Sun Devils game, now he follows ASU

The words of the radio commentator at the Beavers game. "If someone tells you there is no such thing as a ugly win, they didn't watch this game"

No one. I really don't care for college sports.
Hard to avoid as there's so many college sport teams down my way...but hockey is the more interesting one that any of the teams are any good at.

I'm with you all the way there Bob.
The best thing about living near a college with a popular sports program is that home games empty out the nearby Lowes and Home Depots when they're playing. Unfortunately I don't live near a college with a popular sports program.
