Not bad selection of beer on tap either which is a bonus.
The lobster shack next door isn't to shabby either, but you get those all over Rt1.

There is a restaurant in Manhattan called Puck Fair. I've been going there for years but never had theie fish and chips until a few weeks ago. www.puckfairbarnyc.com . My husband said the fish and chips were amazing. Itried them as well and they were excellent. They also have great curry sauce for the chips.

okay, I can't type, but yeah, the cannon...anyway, back to the mainers, the pic on the right in that link of the Monroe Salt works, there's a right turn just past it, by the post office...if you take that, it cuts the drive time to Belfast in half...it does look like you might hit deliverance mind. And there's another short cut to Bangor from Belfast, winging the left at the bridge entering Searsport....that knocks it down to a 25 min drive instead of 45. I discovered that 3 days before we moved down to MA, which was a bugger...it's a few miles further which is why gps doesn't tell you about it, but you miss all the small towns and eventually hit a main road so double the speed limit...road looks like utter poo though for the first couple of miles.
And talking short cuts, there's another one that knocks 20 mins getting to Waterville, instead of taking the main road as usual, head up Waldo Ave, past the highschool, keep going till the road forks, go left and it's 50mph all the way, plus they actually surfaced the road from dirt as we were moving, so it's really nice.

I STILL have one of the blankets we bought there at the mill as a "second" and it's over 40 years old!!

When I was in junior high and high school we used to take our wool to the Knox Woolen Mill in Camden every year. Sadly I see it closed in 1988 and MBNA came in and converted it to shops etc.

I usually end up over there at least once during the Summer when people are staying. I only visited Mount Battie in Camden for the first time 2 years ago...there's constantly new things I find over on the coast. I still want to visit the vineyard somewhere over there.....but think that will be an overnight trip

Mount Battie is great, same with the other one across the lake.
