Ok, everyone picks on my Hershey's

Not that I actually care LOL, it's not the best. So.... what IS the best? What are the brands you all like, white, milk, dark...?

And with nuts? Or without? Or with.... what?

I like Dagoba. It's organic and available in different cacao percentages, milk and dark and a whole bunch of flavors like mint, lime, chili, lemon-ginger and lavender. A little expensive but good stuff.

I like Trader Joes for everyday nibbles... a square a day (or two or three)keeps the doctor away! There are other good chocs but this is less expensive, from Belgium. It's called 'Pound Plus'. There's 72%, and 60% with whole almonds.
Also milk choc, but I don't bother with that.

For me it is Dove Dark Chocolate. Never have been a fan of milk chocolate. Godiva comes in second. I've been to Europe several times, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and honestly have to say I wasn't crazy about the chocolate I bought there. Also have imported chocolate from the UK here in the neighborhood and have tried the imported Cadbury chocolate, various types, and to me it is still milk chocolate. Okay ... brand me for having a prejudiced palate ;-)

My preference is for dark chocolate from pretty much anywhere other than the US and the UK (both of which often still have milk in them).

I'm a milk chocolate fan 'cause I have a sweet tooth, I'll eat any (apart from Hershey's) if I'm desperate My favourite is Galaxy chocolate, I'm not keen on dark chocolate or white chocolate.

For American brands, I find Dove to be tasty.

Oddly, since moving to the US, I've really got into dark chocolate in a big way. 72% cocoa content and higher!

I like Green and Black chocolate but don't have any favorite manufacturer in general. I just don't American chocolate although I do cook with it from time to time.

don't like hershey's...think it's that smell or something

if i'm scoffing milk chocolate then it's got to be cadbury's.

however i much prefer white belgian with fresh cream and nuts inside...or white maltesers or really any white chocolate and yes i know white chocolate is not really chocolate but who cares it's delicious and i it!

Cool Re: Chocolate

I love the (Swiss) 'Lindt' choc truffles - especially the variety packs...

The 'Green & Blacks' chocolate is excellent too

and of course Cadbury's (English made, not the Cadbury's chocs from Australia & the Philippines....has some weird additives to prevent it melting in the heat, which is what I suspect is in the Hershey's chocs too).

My friend's student daughter (from England) is staying at our house this week and she very kindly brought over a large bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk choc, a box of Maltesers and a packet of Flakes......I've just had a '99 ice cream cone and it was heavenly...

for a nibble, Attune bars, from whole foods make a nice snack, lovely stuff....as are the weird and expensive small bars elsewhere in the stores.

not to bothered though for choc in general tbh, we normally get those huge blocks for baking and make our own small fruit and nut bars which aren't bad, add a pinch of curry to them to make them pop, lovely.
