I live in Southern California (Anaheim) and my wife is a special edu
teacher.. which means she can only teach in certain area's :-) Thanks for
thinking for me though.

Today I probably impressed someone @ target... I never worked in retail but
it's a start never the less. We'll see where it brings me.. I've set up my
mind to forget about certain rude Americans and take a positive perspective
@ job hunting again.

I feel that imigrants should be aware of their chanches on the job market
here. Information is very hard to get over in Europe... unless you pay some
over priced guy to find out.

I have outsourced many of my company's functions, but to my knowledge they
are to other companies in the United States. I do know that many "tech
support" outsource companies do indeed use reps in India or the Philippines
who work/sleep on U.S. time zones. However, my tech support is still
handled in house.

I'm actually a sucker for Sacramento and the surrounding area, can't get enough.
Saying that, I've never been to Maryland though did visit Philly once and thought it the best city I had ever been to.
(I guess I've led a sheltered life huh )

You've obviously never been to New Orleans. Everybody should go to the Big Easy at least once before they die.

No I havent to be honest.
I did go to Tennesse once and thoroughly enjoyed that.
I think, being honest, American people are just generally more friendly than the British, which is why I like the place so much.

Go to New Orleans if you ever get a chance. It's beautiful and historical. Amazing food, amazing music, amazing party atmosphere. Culturally the people are such a crazy mix and very loud and outspoken. There is something for everyone in that town.

If I were as wealthy as you think I am, I'd retire and then dedicate my life
to putting attorneys like you out of business!

Nothing personal, but without immigration laws, we wouldn't need immigration
lawyers. :-)

So ummmm, you go there often?
Funnily enough, Sandy went there a few years ago and didn't really like it, says she has no interest in going back.

Stay away from Amsterdam ;-) Cause people seriously are friendly in
London.... people there have style where in Amsterdam they don't care as
long it's not their problem... I'm not going to talk about LA even... that's
the worst city in the US.... no one cares about you but only your money...
and they don't care how they get it.

I don't get to go as often as I would like.

Sorry Sandy didn't like it. It is a party town, even though last time I went I was with people that don't drink and they had a blast. You really have to know the places to go. Luckily, the first time I went, I was with seasoned New Orleans travelers. They broke me in, but I discover places on my own now.

This paragraph makes your opinion self-referentially false. The part
that is false is "if they leave they might never come back". Why is this
and how did they come in the first place? It follows if they came once
they should be able to come again, no? As such they already enjoy the
same system that Canada has and they should be leaving and returning in
droves should they not? But they're not so something is different. What
is that? Perhaps I'm just confused or there is something else I'm not
aware of here.

I hope not also and would be all for working even for a small ISP.
However there is this little issue of my daughter, who lives here, and
who I will not caliverly give up my relationship with. And no I cannot
move her across the country and deprive her of her relationship with my ex.
