I just spoke to my best mate in Alabama. Dur to relationship probs he is buggering off on the next flight out. I feel very gutted by this news. Who will I call now when the missus is doing my shed in? Who can I call after 7pm without waking them up. Okay, it sounds selfish but I am pissed right off. Sorry.

Thank you Elvira. Of course I am supporting my mate. We have been supporting each other since we were 14 years old. I just feel a bit lost with him going home. We are hoping to be home ourselves by March at the latest, though I will have to leave before that.

I told him to come up here for a while until things calm down but his mind is made up

Stop talking shite mate. I'm not in the best mood. He is my kids godfather. We have been to hell and back together. I am gutted that his relationship is screwed. I am gutted he is going home and having to leave his american daughter here. I don't need to lean on anybody. I don't need new friends. I am just saying I am pissed off. So take your homespun phillosophy and mail it to next week because right now it is just annoying.

I'm just moaning. Ignore me. I just always felt like no matter how shitty stuff got my best bud was at the end of the line. We both met mad american women, strangely, within a month of each other and ended up here. Our lives have been filled with weird synchroncity since we met as kids.

Oh ignore me whining. I think I will listen to Radiohead for a bit. That's bound to cheer me up ha ha.

I feel for you mate. If your best mate is hurting then so are you. I know 'cos I've known my best friend for 37 years. It's always sad to hear of a marriage break up when they have young children, so I do hope they can sort things out, if only for the daughter.((hugs))
