British invasion

Is it me or are there more British celebs on tv here than ever before?
It seemed to have started with the reality show where most have a British judge and/or host, which is fair enough as the shows got picked up based on the British format.
Then we had Hugh Laurie in House, there was some dire comedy a while ago with the blonde one from Coupling, and all of a sudden they're everywhere this week - in the last few days I stumbled across Christopher Eccleston in Heroes, and Stephen Fry in Bones.
Who else have you spotted lately?

Not that I watch it but I see Denise Van Outen is hosting the Grease talent show thingy, and last summer Cat Deeley hosted So You Think You Can Dance.

Never noticed myself but doubt that they equal in numbers to the Canadian entertainers/actors that have been a staple of American entertainment for decades now.

I wonder whether Stephen Fry will become a fixture on Bones?
At the moment he seems a bit 'stuck on', i.e. the token Brit to add a bit of 'class', but I imagine he could probably do something with the role if they let him.
But hasn't he gotten fat!!!

I don't watch Bones and I guess you haven't been downloading episodes of QI. I'm actually reading his autobiography at the moment - pretty interesting. He has a few books that I will eventually read; he's one of those people that you can hear in your head as you read.

Was on late every night on UK TV Gold when I was home at crimbo

There seem to be more commercials that have British voiceovers too. I read somewhere that a British accent is considered an advantage in business - more trustworthy?
