Bonjela
The BabyChog is not having a very good week. She fell over and got a black eye, our pipes burst and have trashed her car seat and pushchair and she's having teething problems.
I'm giving her some infant tylenol (paracetamol) and I had been using bonjela teething gel my sister bought over but it's all gone. I've been looking at the US versions but none of them have the same ingredients and half of them seem to be homeopathic nonsense with belladonna in any suggestions?

Amazon have it.
FYI, US Doctors/FDA don't like using local anesthetics like that and won't recommend it hence why US equivalents are useless.
Failing that, buy mini bagels put them in the freezer and let her chew on a half. Young Sir liked them when he was teething.

I've been using the Bonjela to buy 20 mins or so, so she can get to sleep.
I've put in an amazon order but will probably need something before it gets here from the UK.
I'm starting to get really narked off with stupid FDA - is there anything they HAVE approved thats of use not approved by NICE? I can't get SERC for my menieres, maternity wards don't have gas and air it goes on and on. RAWRRRRRRRRR! RAGE!!!

Right, they won't allow oral anesthetics for babies anymore. We tried to get some for a friend and were completely unable to. When did that happen!
Don't use the adult strength Orajel because even the regular strength is double what used to be in the old baby version. An ice cube wrapped in a facecloth was what someone told us to give the tot.

Re: Bonjela
We had pretty good luck with Orajel.
Along with Cadbury's choc I mainly bring across medical supplies when I visit the UK. Chiefly; Infant Calpol (my boy likes the taste and will always take it) and Ibuleve gel (everything in the US appears to have heating or cooling effects)

Are you sure it is just teething?
It is always difficult when they are young to figure out just what is going on, but often being irritable, flushed face and hot can be signs of ear infection as well.
Hope you get poor babe comfortable soon

Ahhh, that little blue tube of bonjella....
I can still taste it now, 40 years after my own teething issues.
I'm thinking the same about Ora Gel being a close substitute.
Frozen wash clothes and frozen bagels were a hit with my teething babies. Good luck, it's a challenging stage for sure.
Hope baby is feeling better soon!

A very little bit of Jack Daniel's rubbed on the gums is very effective, in an emergency....
